Exodus 1:1
Hebrew ותיבו שיא בקעי תא המירצמ םיאבה לארשי ינב תומש הלאו
:ואב
Translit ve.e.le she.mot be.nei yis.ra.el ha.ba.im mits.rai.ma et ya.a.kov ish u.vei.to ba.u:
English Now these are the names of the sons of Israel, who came into Egypt with Jacob; every man came with his household:
Exodus 1:2
Hebrew :הדוהיו יול ןועמש ןבואר
Translit re.u.ven shim.on le.vi vi.hu.da:
English Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah;
Exodus 1:3
Hebrew :ןמינבו ןלובז רכששי
Translit yi.sa.sho.khar ze.vu.lun u.vin.ya.min:
English Issachar, Zebulun, and Benjamin;
Exodus 1:4
Hebrew :רשאו דג ילתפנו ןד
Translit dan ve.naf.ta.li gad ve.a.sher:
English Dan and Naphtali, Gad and Asher.
Exodus 1:5
Hebrew :םירצמב היה ףסויו שפנ םיעבש בקעי-ךרי יאצי שפנ-לכ יהיו
Translit va.ye.hi kol-ne.fesh yots.ei ye.rekh-ya.a.kov shiv.im na.fesh ve.yo.sef ha.ya ve.mits.ra.yim:
English And all the souls that came out of the loins of Jacob were seventy souls; and Joseph was in Egypt already.
Exodus 1:6
Hebrew :אוהה רודה לכו ויחא-לכו ףסוי תמיו
Translit va.ya.mat yo.sef ve.khol-e.khav ve.khol ha.dor ha.hu:
English And Joseph died, and all his brethren, and all that generation.
Exodus 1:7
Hebrew אלמתו דאמ דאמב ומצעיו ובריו וצרשיו ורפ לארשי ינבו
:םתא ץראה
Translit u.ve.nei yis.ra.el pa.ru va.yish.re.tsu va.yir.bu va.ya.ats.mu bim.od me.od va.ti.ma.le ha.a.rets o.tam:
English And the children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and waxed exceeding mighty; and the land was filled with them.
Exodus 1:8
Hebrew :ףסוי-תא עדי-אל רשא םירצמ-לע שדח-ךלמ םקיו
Translit va.ya.kam me.lekh-kha.dash al-mits.ra.yim a.sher lo-ya.da et-yo.sef:
English Now there arose a new king over Egypt, who knew not Joseph.
Exodus 1:9
Hebrew :ונממ םוצעו בר לארשי ינב םע הנה ומע-לא רמאיו
Translit va.yo.mer el-a.mo hi.ne am be.nei yis.ra.el rav ve.a.tsum mi.me.nu:
English And he said unto his people: 'Behold, the people of the children of Israel are too many and too mighty for us;
Exodus 1:10
Hebrew ףסונו המחלמ הנארקת-יכ היהו הברי-ןפ ול המכחתנ הבה
:ץראה-ןמ הלעו ונב-םחלנו וניאנש-לע אוה-םג
Translit ha.va nit.khak.ma lo pen-yir.be ve.ha.ya ki-tik.re.na mil.kha.ma ve.no.saf gam-hu al-son.ei.nu ve.nil.kham-ba.nu ve.a.la min-ha.a.rets:
English come, let us deal wisely with them, lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that, when there befalleth us any war, they also join themselves unto our enemies, and fight against us, and get them up out of the land.'
Exodus 1:11
Hebrew תונכסמ ירע ןביו םתלבסב ותנע ןעמל םיסמ ירש וילע ומישיו
:ססמער-תאו םתפ-תא הערפל
Translit va.ya.si.mu a.lav sa.rei mi.sim le.ma.an a.no.to be.siv.lo.tam va.yi.ven a.rei mis.ke.not le.far.o et-pi.tom ve.et-ra.am.ses:
English Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh store-cities, Pithom and Raamses.
Exodus 1:12
Hebrew :לארשי ינב ינפמ וצקיו ץרפי ןכו הברי ןכ ותא ונעי רשאכו
Translit ve.kha.a.sher ye.a.nu o.to ken yir.be ve.khen yif.rots va.ya.ku.tsu mip.nei be.nei yis.ra.el:
English But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and the more they spread abroad. And they were adread because of the children of Israel.
Exodus 1:13
Hebrew :ךרפב לארשי ינב-תא םירצמ ודבעיו
Translit va.ya.a.vi.du mits.ra.yim et-be.nei yis.ra.el be.fa.rekh:
English And the Egyptians made the children of Israel to serve with rigour.
Exodus 1:14
Hebrew הדבע-לכבו םינבלבו רמחב השק הדבעב םהייח-תא וררמיו
:ךרפב םהב ודבע-רשא םתדבע-לכ תא הדשב
Translit va.ye.ma.ra.ru et-kha.yei.hem ba.a.vo.da ka.sha be.kho.mer u.vil.ve.nim u.ve.khol-a.vo.da ba.sa.de et kol-a.vo.da.tam a.sher-av.du va.hem be.fa.rekh:
English And they made their lives bitter with hard service, in mortar and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field; in all their service, wherein they made them serve with rigour.
Exodus 1:15
Hebrew םשו הרפש תחאה םש רשא תירבעה תדלימל םירצמ ךלמ רמאיו
:העופ תינשה
Translit va.yo.mer me.lekh mits.ra.yim lam.yal.dot ha.iv.ri.yot a.sher shem ha.a.khat shif.ra ve.shem ha.she.nit pu.a:
English And the king of Egypt spoke to the Hebrew midwives, of whom the name of the one was Shiphrah, and the name of the other Puah;
Exodus 1:16
Hebrew אוה ןב-םא םינבאה-לע ןתיארו תוירבעה-תא ןכדליב רמאיו
:היחו אוה תב-םאו ותא ןתמהו
Translit va.yo.mer be.ya.led.khen et-ha.iv.ri.yot u.re.i.ten al-ha.av.na.yim im-ben hu va.ha.mi.ten o.to ve.im-bat hiv va.kha.ya:
English and he said: 'When ye do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, ye shall look upon the birthstool: if it be a son, then ye shall kill him; but if it be a daughter, then she shall live.'
Exodus 1:17
Hebrew ךלמ ןהילא רבד רשאכ ושע אלו םיהלאה-תא תדלימה ןאריתו
:םידליה-תא ןייחתו םירצמ
Translit va.ti.re.na ha.me.yal.dot et-ha.e.lo.him ve.lo a.su ka.a.sher di.ber a.lei.hen me.lekh mits.ra.yim va.te.kha.yei.na et-ha.ye.la.dim:
English But the midwives feared God, and did not as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the men-children alive.
Exodus 1:18
Hebrew רבדה ןתישע עודמ ןהל רמאיו תדלימל םירצמ-ךלמ ארקיו
:םידליה-תא ןייחתו הזה
Translit va.yik.ra me.lekh-mits.ra.yim lam.yal.dot va.yo.mer la.hen ma.du.a a.si.ten ha.da.var ha.ze va.te.kha.yei.na et-ha.ye.la.dim:
English And the king of Egypt called for the midwives, and said unto them: 'Why have ye done this thing, and have saved the men-children alive?'
Exodus 1:19
Hebrew -יכ תירבעה תירצמה םישנכ אל יכ הערפ-לא תדלימה ןרמאתו
:ודליו תדלימה ןהלא אובת םרטב הנה תויח
Translit va.to.mar.na ha.me.yal.dot el-par.o ki lo kha.na.shim ha.mits.ri.yot ha.iv.ri.yot ki-kha.yot he.na be.te.rem ta.vo a.le.hen ha.me.ya.le.det ve.ya.la.du:
English And the midwives said unto Pharaoh: 'Because the Hebrew women are not as the Egyptian women; for they are lively, and are delivered ere the midwife come unto them.'
Exodus 1:20
Hebrew :דאמ ומצעיו םעה בריו תדלימל םיהלא בטייו
Translit va.yei.tev e.lo.him lam.yal.dot va.yi.rev ha.am va.ya.ats.mu me.od:
English And God dealt well with the midwives; and the people multiplied, and waxed very mighty.
Exodus 1:21
Hebrew :םיתב םהל שעיו םיהלאה-תא תדלימה וארי-יכ יהיו
Translit va.ye.hi ki-yar.u ha.me.yal.dot et-ha.e.lo.him va.ya.as la.hem ba.tim:
English And it came to pass, because the midwives feared God, that He made them houses.
Exodus 1:22
Hebrew והכילשת הראיה דוליה ןבה-לכ רמאל ומע-לכל הערפ וציו
:ןויחת תבה-לכו
Translit va.ye.tsav par.o le.khol-a.mo le.mor kol-ha.ben ha.yi.lod ha.ye.o.ra tash.li.khu.hu ve.khol-ha.bat te.kha.yun:
English And Pharaoh charged all his people, saying: 'Every son that is born ye shall cast into the river, and every daughter ye shall save alive.'

 

Exodus 2:1
Hebrew :יול-תב-תא חקיו יול תיבמ שיא ךליו
Translit va.ye.lekh ish mi.beit le.vi va.yi.kakh et-bat-le.vi:
English And there went a man of the house of Levi, and took to wife a daughter of Levi.
Exodus 2:2
Hebrew השלש והנפצתו אוה בוט-יכ ותא ארתו ןב דלתו השאה רהתו
:םיחרי
Translit va.ta.har ha.i.sha va.te.led ben va.te.re o.to ki-tov hu va.tits.pe.ne.hu she.lo.sha ye.ra.khim:
English And the woman conceived, and bore a son; and when she saw him that he was a goodly child, she hid him three months.
Exodus 2:3
Hebrew תפזבו רמחב הרמחתו אמג תבת ול-חקתו וניפצה דוע הלכי-אלו
:ראיה תפש-לע ףוסב םשתו דליה-תא הב םשתו
Translit ve.lo-yakh.la od ha.tse.fi.no va.ti.kakh-lo te.vat go.me va.takh.me.ra va.khe.mar u.va.za.fet va.ta.sem ba et-ha.ye.led va.ta.sem ba.suf al-se.fat ha.ye.or:
English And when she could not longer hide him, she took for him an ark of bulrushes, and daubed it with slime and with pitch; and she put the child therein, and laid it in the flags by the river's brink.
Exodus 2:4
Hebrew :ול השעי-המ העדל קחרמ ותחא בצתתו
Translit va.te.ta.tsav a.kho.to me.ra.khok le.de.a ma-ye.a.se lo:
English And his sister stood afar off, to know what would be done to him.
Exodus 2:5
Hebrew ראיה די-לע תכלה היתרענו ראיה-לע ץחרל הערפ-תב דרתו
:החקתו התמא-תא חלשתו ףוסה ךותב הבתה-תא ארתו
Translit va.te.red bat-par.o lir.khots al-ha.ye.or ve.na.a.ro.tei.ha hol.khot al-yad ha.ye.or va.te.re et-ha.te.va be.tokh ha.suf va.tish.lakh et-a.ma.ta va.ti.ka.khe.ha:
English And the daughter of Pharaoh came down to bathe in the river; and her maidens walked along by the river-side; and she saw the ark among the flags, and sent her handmaid to fetch it.
Exodus 2:6
Hebrew רמאתו וילע למחתו הכב רענ-הנהו דליה-תא והארתו חתפתו
:הז םירבעה ידלימ
Translit va.tif.takh va.tir.e.hu et-ha.ye.led ve.hi.ne-na.ar bo.khe va.takh.mol a.lav va.to.mer mi.yal.dei ha.iv.rim ze:
English And she opened it, and saw it, even the child; and behold a boy that wept. And she had compassion on him, and said: 'This is one of the Hebrews' children.'
Exodus 2:7
Hebrew ןמ תקנימ השא ךל יתארקו ךלאה הערפ-תב-לא ותחא רמאתו
:דליה-תא ךל קניתו תירבעה
Translit va.to.mer a.kho.to el-bat-par.o ha.e.lekh ve.ka.ra.ti lakh i.sha mei.ne.ket min ha.iv.ri.yot ve.tei.nik lakh et-ha.ya.led:
English Then said his sister to Pharaoh's daughter: 'Shall I go and call thee a nurse of the Hebrew women, that she may nurse the child for thee?'
Exodus 2:8
Hebrew :דליה םא-תא ארקתו המלעה ךלתו יכל הערפ-תב הל-רמאתו
Translit va.to.mer-la bat-par.o le.khi va.te.lekh ha.al.ma va.tik.ra et-em ha.ya.led:
English And Pharaoh's daughter said to her: 'Go.' And the maiden went and called the child's mother.
Exodus 2:9
Hebrew ינאו יל והקניהו הזה דליה-תא יכיליה הערפ-תב הל רמאתו
:והקינתו דליה השאה חקתו ךרכש-תא ןתא
Translit va.to.mer la bat-par.o hei.li.khi et-ha.ye.led ha.ze ve.hei.ni.ki.hu li va.a.ni e.ten et-se.kha.rekh va.ti.kakh ha.i.sha ha.ye.led va.te.ni.ke.hu:
English And Pharaoh's daughter said unto her: 'Take this child away, and nurse it for me, and I will give thee thy wages.' And the woman took the child, and nursed it.
Exodus 2:10
Hebrew ומש ארקתו ןבל הל-יהיו הערפ-תבל והאבתו דליה לדגיו
:והתישמ םימה-ןמ יכ רמאתו השמ
Translit va.yig.dal ha.ye.led va.te.vi.e.hu le.vat-par.o va.ye.hi-la le.ven va.tik.ra she.mo mo.she va.to.mer ki min-ha.ma.yim me.shi.ti.hu:
English And the child grew, and she brought him unto Pharaoh's daughter, and he became her son. And she called his name Moses, and said: 'Because I drew him out of the water.'
Exodus 2:11
Hebrew םתלבסב אריו ויחא-לא אציו השמ לדגיו םהה םימיב יהיו
:ויחאמ ירבע-שיא הכמ ירצמ שיא אריו
Translit va.ye.hi ba.ya.mim ha.hem va.yig.dal mo.she va.ye.tse el-e.khav va.yar be.siv.lo.tam va.yar ish mits.ri ma.ke ish-iv.ri me.e.khav:
English And it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown up, that he went out unto his brethren, and looked on their burdens; and he saw an Egyptian smiting a Hebrew, one of his brethren.
Exodus 2:12
Hebrew והנמטיו ירצמה-תא ךיו שיא ןיא יכ אריו הכו הכ ןפיו
:לוחב
Translit va.yi.fen ko va.kho va.yar ki ein ish va.yakh et-ha.mits.ri va.yit.me.ne.hu ba.khol:
English And he looked this way and that way, and when he saw that there was no man, he smote the Egyptian, and hid him in the sand.
Exodus 2:13
Hebrew עשרל רמאיו םיצנ םירבע םישנא-ינש הנהו ינשה םויב אציו
:ךער הכת המל
Translit va.ye.tse ba.yom ha.she.ni ve.hi.ne she.nei-a.na.shim iv.rim ni.tsim va.yo.mer la.ra.sha la.ma ta.ke re.e.kha:
English And he went out the second day, and, behold, two men of the Hebrews were striving together; and he said to him that did the wrong: 'Wherefore smitest thou thy fellow?'
Exodus 2:14
Hebrew רשאכ רמא התא ינגרהלה ונילע טפשו רש שיאל ךמש ימ רמאיו
:רבדה עדונ ןכא רמאיו השמ ארייו ירצמה-תא תגרה
Translit va.yo.mer mi sam.kha le.ish sar ve.sho.fet a.lei.nu ha.le.har.ge.ni a.ta o.mer ka.a.sher ha.rag.ta et-ha.mits.ri va.yi.ra mo.she va.yo.mar a.khen no.da ha.da.var:
English And he said: 'Who made thee a ruler and a judge over us? thinkest thou to kill me, as thou didst kill the Egyptian?' And Moses feared, and said: 'Surely the thing is known.'
Exodus 2:15
Hebrew השמ חרביו השמ-תא גרהל שקביו הזה רבדה-תא הערפ עמשיו
:ראבה-לע בשיו ןידמ-ץראב בשיו הערפ ינפמ
Translit va.yish.ma par.o et-ha.da.var ha.ze va.ye.va.kesh la.ha.rog et-mo.she va.yiv.rakh mo.she mip.nei far.o va.ye.shev be.e.rets-mid.yan va.ye.shev al-ha.be.er:
English Now when Pharaoh heard this thing, he sought to slay Moses. But Moses fled from the face of Pharaoh, and dwelt in the land of Midian; and he sat down by a well.
Exodus 2:16
Hebrew םיטהרה-תא הנאלמתו הנלדתו הנאבתו תונב עבש ןידמ ןהכלו
:ןהיבא ןאצ תוקשהל
Translit u.le.kho.hen mid.yan she.va ba.not va.ta.vo.na va.tid.le.na va.te.ma.le.na et-har.ha.tim le.hash.kot tson a.vi.hen:
English Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters; and they came and drew water, and filled the troughs to water their father's flock.
Exodus 2:17
Hebrew :םנאצ-תא קשיו ןעשויו השמ םקיו םושרגיו םיערה ואביו
Translit va.ya.vo.u ha.ro.im va.ye.ga.ra.shum va.ya.kam mo.she va.yo.shi.an va.yash.ke et-tso.nam:
English And the shepherds came and drove them away; but Moses stood up and helped them, and watered their flock.
Exodus 2:18
Hebrew :םויה אב ןתרהמ עודמ רמאיו ןהיבא לאוער-לא הנאבתו
Translit va.ta.vo.na el-re.u.el a.vi.hen va.yo.mer ma.du.a mi.har.ten bo ha.yom:
English And when they came to Reuel their father, he said: 'How is it that ye are come so soon to-day?'
Exodus 2:19
Hebrew ונל הלד הלד-םגו םיערה דימ ונליצה ירצמ שיא ןרמאתו
:ןאצה-תא קשיו
Translit va.to.mar.na ish mits.ri hi.tsi.la.nu mi.yad ha.ro.im ve.gam-da.lo da.la la.nu va.yash.ke et-ha.tson:
English And they said: 'An Egyptian delivered us out of the hand of the shepherds, and moreover he drew water for us, and watered the flock.'
Exodus 2:20
Hebrew ול ןארק שיאה-תא ןתבזע הז המל ויאו ויתנב-לא רמאיו
:םחל לכאיו
Translit va.yo.mer el-be.no.tav ve.a.yo la.ma ze a.zav.ten et-ha.ish kir.en lo ve.yo.khal la.khem:
English And he said unto his daughters: 'And where is he? Why is it that ye have left the man? call him, that he may eat bread.'
Exodus 2:21
Hebrew :השמל ותב הרפצ-תא ןתיו שיאה-תא תבשל השמ לאויו
Translit va.yo.el mo.she la.she.vet et-ha.ish va.yi.ten et-tsi.po.ra vi.to le.mo.she:
English And Moses was content to dwell with the man; and he gave Moses Zipporah his daughter.
Exodus 2:22
Hebrew :הירכנ ץראב יתייה רג רמא יכ םשרג ומש-תא ארקיו ןב דלתו
Translit va.te.led ben va.yik.ra et-she.mo ger.shom ki a.mar ger ha.yi.ti be.e.rets nakh.ri.ya:
English And she bore a son, and he called his name Gershom; for he said: 'I have been a stranger in a strange land.'
Exodus 2:23
Hebrew לארשי-ינב וחנאיו םירצמ ךלמ תמיו םהה םיברה םימיב יהיו
:הדבעה-ןמ םיהלאה-לא םתעוש לעתו וקעזיו הדבעה-ןמ
Translit va.ye.hi va.ya.mim ha.ra.bim ha.hem va.ya.mat me.lekh mits.ra.yim va.ye.an.khu ve.nei-yis.ra.el min-ha.a.vo.da va.yiz.a.ku va.ta.al shav.a.tam el-ha.e.lo.him min-ha.a.vo.da:
English And it came to pass in the course of those many days that the king of Egypt died; and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage.
Exodus 2:24
Hebrew םהרבא-תא ותירב-תא םיהלא רכזיו םתקאנ-תא םיהלא עמשיו
:בקעי-תאו קחצי-תא
Translit va.yish.ma e.lo.him et-na.a.ka.tam va.yiz.kor e.lo.him et-be.ri.to et-av.ra.ham et-yits.khak ve.et-ya.a.kov:
English And God heard their groaning, and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.
Exodus 2:25
Hebrew :םיהלא עדיו לארשי ינב-תא םיהלא אריו
Translit va.yar e.lo.him et-be.nei yis.ra.el va.ye.da e.lo.him:
English And God saw the children of Israel, and God took cognizance of them.
